About Us

Angel Born is a nonprofit, faith-based ministry that offers resources for grieving parents who have lost a child between 20 and 42 weeks gestation to provide hope and healing and to honor the many babies who were born angels. Angel Born was founded by Ashelyn & Meghan in honor of their angel babies, Denver Rayne & Konnor.

Ashelyn is married to her husband, Jeremy, & they have a 2 year old

son, Maverick. She is a nurse. On June 23, 2023 she delivered her stillborn angel baby girl, Denver Rayne at just 23 weeks. As a result, she had developed a huge passion for serving parents who have lost a child in the womb and has since led her to create Angel Born.

Meghan is married to her husband, Joshua, and they have a 2 year old son, Knox. She is also a nurse and works as the director of nursing at South Carolina Endoscopy Center. She delivered her sweet baby boy, Konnor Blake at 26 weeks on July 5, 2022. This heartbreaking loss has inspired a passion to support other moms facing similar circumstances.

Resources Offered

  1. GRIEF BASKET: This is a basket of various goods ranging from gift cards to handmade items.
  2. GROCERIES: Getting out of the house and going to the grocery store is not only an inconvenience but not something you want to do while grieving. One of our volunteers will take your grocery list and go grocery shopping for your family and then deliver your groceries to you.
  3. MASSAGE OR FACIAL: Self-care is so important and we want to help you relieve the tension and stress that these times may bring. We will set each parent up for a massage or facial at a time that is convenient for you.
  4. COUNSELING: It is important to talk about what happened and process through the grief. We will set you up with a licensed counselor and cover the cost for grief counseling sessions in your area. 
  5. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:One of the most difficult things to do after the loss of a child is to call and set up a funeral. We will handle as much or as little of this as you would like us to.
  6. SUPPORT PERSON: We would love to offer you a support person who has also lost a child and has been through this program before. They will reach out to you and walk through this process with you. They know the pain and heartache all too well and are there to listen, talk, or hang out.
  7. PERSONALIZED ITEM :We would love to send you and your family a personalized item in remembrance of your angel baby.
  8. EVENTS: We work to put together monthly events for moms, dads, or both to meet other parents walking the same road of grief as you and to enjoy yourselves while doing fun activities. These events could range from bowling or painting to a cookout or exercise class. We also provide an Instagram and Facebook page for members of Angel Born to connect.
